The Best Christmas Present Ever!

On Monday, my sweet hubby gave me the best Christmas present ever!
A new car!!
It is so sweet.
2005 Honda Pilot
4wd
seats 8
heated leather seats
brand-new dvd player
navigation system
moon roof
It really is one sweet ride.
We have had constant snow since Sunday and it does so great. I feel like I'm driving a tank. :)
But for those of you that don't live close enough to know just how much we needed a new car, let me tell you about my minivan...
  • 1997 Dodge Caravan
  • 168k miles
  • It leaks (a lot of) transmission fluid and other miscellaneous things.
  • It squeals. Horribly. If it is running, it is squealing - a loud, mind-numbing squeal that has gone on nonstop for almost a year without us being able to fix it. People hear me coming, strangers look up from their business to see who on earth would drive around like that.
  • The heater is broken.
  • The power steering is all messed up - trying to make a tight turn results in horrible groaning sounds & strained shoulder muscles.
  • It has a crack from one side of the windshield all the way to the other.

I feel like I've gone from sleeping in a cardboard box to the Ritz.
Woo-Hoo!!
I actually enjoy being in the car all the time!
Thanks Baby for the Best Christmas Present Ever!!

May the caravan rest in peace!!!
So many times I wished we had an 8 seater instead of 7. I'm glad you have a vehicle that is now "safe at any speed"
Love ya

Gotta say it. This is one hot ride. I do mean hot. I was actually setting in the hot seat. It did feel good on a cold winter day. It was so great to be able to celebrate Bess B/day with a fun lunch at Macaroni Grill and be able to be with you and Bess and Bayli. Loved the "ride" Thank you for a fun day. Love you

I love Pilots! You are so lucky. I bet you look like such a super mom driving it to all your events!

I am sure you will get great use out of the 4wd!

I finally got caught up on your posts and I can't believe how much bigger the girls look, especially Madi and Bayli(love her long hair). Congrats on your car, it sounds like you really needed one. Have a very Merry Christmas. Love you all.
