My hubby is a camping fanatic. I can totally understand the peacefulness of being one with nature, but my peaceful enjoyment is somewhat lessened lately by the constant battle to keep my chubby, chubby one clean, dry, warm & alive. If you haven't had the experience of camping in a leaky tent in the rain with a super-busy, super-mobile baby, maybe you can't understand my hesitance...
Last weekend, he really wanted to go camping and I really didn't, so he took Ryann & Madi and headed out for a one-nighter... Skye wasn't sold on the whole camping-without-Mommy idea, so she stayed home with me & Bayli. We missed Daddy & the big girls, but the three of us had such a fun weekend. I loved letting Skye pick whatever she wanted to do. We had dinner & a chocolate malt at Red Robin (where Bayli fell in love with her 1st balloon - I know, I watched her really close). Skye got to pick out any movie she wanted from Blockbuster (Air Buddies & Lassie) with no complaining that she picked "baby movies". We watched Air Buddies, ate popcorn and got Skye to bed with plenty of time left for stories. I climbed in bed early with my baby & my book. Ahhh.... Now that's peaceful.

It's so much fun to have one on one time isn't it? When it's just Alice and I she always chooses to scrapbook! I love her as my partner! It looks like such fun, I havn't been to Red Robin in years!
looks like fun. I hope the kids have a good weekend. I love those moments when you get to spend quality time with just one of the kids. Makes them feel special.
Ooh, I want a kid that scrapbook's like Kareena's! I keep trying to convince Logan to scrapbook but he prefers doing pretty much anything else.
