Easter

My silly girls, Easter morning, April 23rd, 2001

Bayli had so much fun searching for eggs!!
What could be more appropriate for an Easter Egg Hunt than a leotard?...

After a fun, relaxing morning at home, we met some family for dinner at a yummy new Thai restaurant. The food was great, I loved the rain, but the best part was the company.

So funny to watch the cousins together...
Skye was laughing so hard at Logan that she couldn't stand up straight.

Dear Easter Bunny...

One of the sweetest things my supersweet Skye is the amazingly thoughtful, loving cards that she makes. A card from her is the highlight of every holiday for me.

This year, she shared some love with the Easter Bunny in this most precious card, left on the dining room table the night before Easter. :)

And of course, he absolutely wanted to keep the card... :)

Coloring Eggs

No matter how old my girls get, they are always excited to dye Easter eggs! :)

This year, my poor Madi was sick & feeling so awful, she didn't even want to participate.

That was a bummer, but her sisters had enough fun to make up for it...

The finished product,
extra glittery this year... :)
That's what you get in a houseful of girls.

Snowy, Snowy Easter

We woke up to a snowy, snowy day.
I made the world's best french toast to take to brunch at Corey's.
The girls woke up and had fun finding their Easter baskets and helping Bayli look for Easter eggs. All my girls looked so beautiful in their new Easter dresses, although it was absolutely freezing outside so I let them wear jeans underneath for our ill-fated brunch.
It was so snowy, that it pushed the main belt off my van and we ended up on the side of the road... Ooops. Not part of the plan.
Lucky for me, my hubby is amazingly handy and I was able to drive the van back home where he fixed it for me after all the snow melted from inside the engine...
By the time we got back home, Corey started the brunch without us.
Luckily we still had the yummy french toast, so I whipped up some potatoes & eggs and we had a delicious Easter brunch at home.
Even though it wasn't the family day we had planned, it was a fun Easter with our beautiful, beautiful girls.

Decorating Eggs

This week was so, so crazy - we had to decorate Easter eggs on Wednesday.

The girls had so much loud, crazy & messy fun.

Things I want to remember:

  • the sweet, sweet way Madi helped Bayli get right in the middle of it all and color on her egg.
  • the way Bayli was so thrilled to color on her egg, even with a white crayon that didn't leave any visible marks
  • Ryann freaking out that the dye was staining her hands and running downstairs to get on the internet to find out how to get it off

I won't mention the one thing that I may not be able to forget... the blue dye on my carpet
