Gift

Sometimes I feel like I get so little done with my busy, busy toddler.

I absolutely adore my sweet, sweet baby, and waited so long for her that I feel like I usually appreciate her even more, but still sometimes it frustrates me that it's so hard to get anything done.

So today, I had two goals - pay the bills and run a couple of miles during Bayli's nap.

But that was before I got the e-mail...

Instead, Bayli & I had some chai & veggie curry
at the indian restaurant with my Momma & my Squeester.

Bayli found & fell in love with a stuffed doggie on top of the buffet.
(She dragged each of us to it at least once.)

Bayli was as cute and fun as I've ever seen her today.
My Mom & I both enjoyed her heartbreakingly adorable little self as we watched her wonder & amazement at the pet store.

She is so much fun!!

Her excitement for life & the world around her is deliciously contagious.

After the pet store adventure, we went to see Corey's friend Cheryl, who gave my Mom a baby guinea pig.
(Thanks Cheryl!)

My Mom named her Honey.

She's adorable.

So, like so often, my day didn't go according to plan.
I didn't get a run in, my bills are still unpaid, my checkbook unbalanced,
but I did have an amazing day with three of my most favorite people in the whole world,
ate some delicious food
and truly enjoyed the beauty, wonder, excitement & joy of my littlest girl.

What a gift today turned out to be.

And a sneak peek of posts to come...

Today was Day #2 of Picture Week.

That's my girl with the attitude (& hips), working her pose...

I totally know what you mean. Everyday I have plans when I wake up and by the time I am ready to go, someone has called or Elora needs an early nap or something. It is so wonderful to appreciate the time we have with these sweet babies. They are growing up so fast.
